B-17 Flying Fortress
B-17 Flying Fortress was originally designed to be a long distance bomber that could effectively defend itself from enemy fighters. It was originally designed by Boeing but later built by many other companies. This plane was maid at the turn of WW2 because many Ailed countries were in need of a long range bomber that didn't need a large escort of fighters. Than the B-17 was invented, with enough weapons to defend and the capacity to carry 4,000 pounds of bombes. Now this plane serves as an iconic purpose, to remind the world of the struggles we faced and the victories we won during World War II.
