H-4 Hercules
Howard Hughes was a movie maker in Hollywood before he became a plane builder. His plane was called the H-4 Hercules. The H-4 Hercules has eight propellers and it's made out of wood. Hughes was drafted for a cargo plane for World War II. The crew was supposed to be 3 but with the soldiers, 703. But when he was halfway through the build the war ended and the general said that they didn't need the plane anymore, but Hughes just kept on building when he was finished with the build 2 buildings and 3 power lines had to be removed for it to fly over the bay of eastern New York. The first flight of this 320 feet wing-span giant was it's last. It flew over the bay and landed safely.
