F-117A Nighthawk
Cole Leis
The F-117A Nighthawks are amazing planes! These U.S. Military planes, created by Lockheed Martin Co, were the first-ever created stealth aircrafts! Some invasions and operations that they have helped in are an invasion of Panama in 1989, Operation Desert Storm in 1991, and Operation Iraqi Freedom, which happened in Iraq in 2003. These planes are made in a way that allows them to attack an enemy without being tracked, or found. They were deployed in 1982, and fully operational in 1983. They fly at subsonic speeds. It only takes one man to operate a F-117A Nighthawk. The power sources for these interesting planes are two general electronic F404 non-afterburning engines. The length of these planes is 65.88 feet. The height of the Nighthawks is 12 feet, 9.5 inches. The width of one of these planes is 43.3 feet. They weigh about 52,500 pounds. These planes have no weapons on their wings, because it would make them not stealthy. The weapons used by these stealthy aircrafts are missiles and bombs. These planes would be helpful to have on your side in a war!
